"Roberts, like the Aces themselves, can never really be replaced in the hearts and minds of fans in Evansville. It was a special place. A place where you saw everyone you wanted to see and where you, in turn, were seen." --- Kyle Keiderling, author of "Trophies and Tears"

Tomorrow Steven L. Smith Will Be Remembering Roberts Stadium
(photo credit: city-countyobserver.com. Please support them!)
Hot off the press, I have just picked up a solid verbal commitment from Mr. Steven L. Smith that he will give a good faith effort to save Roberts Stadium.
In an article in an earlier post on here, Mr. Smith said that he would like to find a proper reuse for Roberts Stadium and avoid mothballing it. I couldn't agree more. We have a great venue that is an icon to the whole entire Tri-State, why let it go to ruin?
Like I said earlier, we have an abundant amount of possibilities that make economic sense for Roberts Stadium if we raise the floor back up. I talked to Mr. Smith tonight and he agrees that Roberts Stadium has great potential.
Mr. Smith is JUST the person we need to put on the council if we are truly going to save Roberts Stadium. Steven is running for the city council at-large on the democratic side, so all local democrats please get out there and help Mr. Smith out.
I greatly appreciate Steven's support for Roberts Stadium. A few months ago, I released a video tribute where I reminded everyone that Hank Roberts has put our name on the top of his list to help save Roberts Stadium. Today, Steven joins Hank Robert's list of people who he needs to help us save this great Evansville icon.
When you go to the polls tomorrow, remember Roberts Stadium by remembering to vote Steven L. Smith- City Council At-Large!
